These original pastel portraits are hand drawn from photographs. They are composed to fit within the opening of standard sized mats and frames.
I use Canson Mi-Teintes: 66% rag content, acid-free, fade resistant, heavy 98 lb. pastel paper. The color chosen will compliment the subject. The portrait will be shipped within a protective cardboard tube.

If you are not totally pleased after receiving the portrait, return the portrait within 2 weeks and your money will be refunded for the price of the art work minus shipping costs. Your order can be placed online and payment made through PayPal or through the mail with personal check, money order, or cashier check. For personal checks, please allow several days for the check to clear. The photo can be sent through the mail or a digital picture can be emailed to the artist: carolepomerantz@gmail.com
The photo should be your own and not from a professional photographer who owns the copyright. It can be either color or black and white, should be a clear sharp representation, and minimally 640 pixels wide if it is digital. Ideally, the best shot is taken outside without the use of a flash, which can wash out and flatten the figure. A candid picture is great and if the photo is of several people or pets, the artist can focus the portrait on a particular individual. While the artist cannot make major changes such as removing 40 pounds, changing the clothing, or changing the body posture; minor compositional changes are possible.
